Sneaky peak at early character animation


A zoomed-in view of my initial efforts at player character animations, started and finished today. This is placeholder artwork of simple body part cutouts, animated using the Godot engine's excellent built-in AnimationPlayer. These are tied to the state machine I created, with different actions for idle, run, jump, climb up, climb down, climb idle, mantle and fall. 

Anyway, all this is very early work, but it's certainly a lot more interesting than the green block I've been using up to now... though I have to say that I've grown quite attached to that.
